We purchased a brand new Lexus RX330 for my wife this past week, but she decided to leave it in garage and use her Jeep GC. Then on Friday our garage door track broke making the garage door essentially non operational. Bottom line- pulled car out of garage, it got rained on, and we used the car for about 80 miles to date. The car still looked great afterwards.
All our family cars are now on zaino, but this was my first chance to get Z on essentially from day one. Car had been preped at dealer with something(?) , but it was ok, absolutely no swirls.
Yesterday after doing about 7 hours of outside Xmas deorations, I started doing the car. You know the drill: wash with dawn, rinse by sheeting, dry with waffle mf, then z1, then z2, then towel off with mf.
Finished in the dark and in the other garage. car looked great, still no swirls. Ran my finfger tips over it and could feel and hear scratchiness! Did a little z6, same thing!!
Today, I did a little experient and clayed a section of the hood. Afterward it came out feeling and sounding like glass like it should! So I guess I learned something: don't assume if it is brand new and looks great, that it is great. I guess there is no substitute for the tactile approach.
