Nevr-Dull vs. Mag/Aluminum Polish For Neglected Bike?

I apologize for not having any pictures, but the bike is a '75 Honda CB400F.

Here's a picture of a nice, clean one I found from Google:

Everything on the bike in question is pretty bad...painted surfaces are very dull, with the color-matched aftermarket fiberglass fairing being dull as well. Not overly concerned about this though...a little ColorX and top coat of wax should do the trick.

I'm asking you experts here about the metal on the bike...I'm assuming that the engine and case covers are aluminum and everything else is chrome (?). Well, all the metal on the bike is very dull, with lots of oxidation and surface rust.

I'd like to get something I can pick up locally...

Is Nevr-Dull any good? Strong enough?

Would a mag/aluminum polish be a better choice?

Thanks.

I've never used Nevr-Dull, but have used Mother's Chrome Polish and Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish, among other metal polishes. While they are good products, I would highly recommend you first try ClearKote Metal Polish. I have found it to be the product that gives the best results and takes the least effort. It is for all metals and, as a bonus, can be used on any unpainted plastic parts, as well. :xyxthumbs

I highly recommend English Custom Polish's Metal Restorer. I restored some nearly black aluminum spokes on a Harley recently. It is a liquid polish that is very easy to use.
