well im very excited, but nervous as well. I just got my first customer. They want full details on a silver honda civic, and a full detail on a Dodge minivan!! Im going to do it on the weekend, so wish me luck.

I think im just going to use the same comob on both vehicles, at least for the polishing and wax. VMW, CM,. Maybe DACP for swirl removal on the red colored minivan.

Best of luck, take your time and dont forget the details. You have some great products. Im sure they'll be very impressed when your done.

Congratulations! I remember my first paying detail, I was nervous too. Just remember to look at the car as if it is your own. If you do your best and don't settle, then word of mouth will be kind to you.

Good luck!

yea on my first one the guy got allot more than he paid for, i was waiting for some trim dye to dry and we decided to go ahead and wipe down the engine too......i bet for weeks he kept getting surprised when he opened different things and found them clean....

Good luck!:) I remember my first customer. I was nervous myself. I just remained professional, calm, and pretended I was working on my own vehicle. That customer became a customer of mine for a long time. Let us know how it goes!:xyxthumbs

I remember my first customer too. A faded red Nissan Sentra. Charged $35 since she worked with my brother and quite frankly, I had no idea how much to charge. No QEW then, so I had to drive it to a coin-op car wash to clean and vacuum it. Car looked great when I was done (probably nothing like I could do now though ;) ) and I started researching on how I could do all the work on site.

I remember my first paying detail. I charged them $50 over what the local detail shop charges and just took it there and had them do it. HAHAHA JUST KIDDING!

Good luck man! At least the Civic is Silver and it will clean up very nice and a lot easier than a black car.

Good luck with your new customer..Take some before and aft pics so you can use them for future customers to see your work..:D

My first paying customer drove a lifted Ford Lariat with 33" tires. It was black and oxidized to hell and back. I only charged her $90. Because of her truck, I had to spend $230 on a polisher cause my orbital burned up!!!!

Talk about underbid.

Just take your time and don't forget the pictures man!!

My first was a minivan. Somehow, I locked the keys inside, and discharged the battery! Very embarrassing

Good Luck!

Jim

My first customer is still with me today, and I owe the start of my detailing to her and her sister. They have sent me tons of people over the last year and a half. Let us know how it goes.

That's great! Good luck with your 1st detail.

I remembered my first detail and I was young and foolish. I did it for free :shocked

Here are my prices on some of my optional services:

$5.00 to remove fingerprints from windows

$10.00 to clean ashtray

$15.00 to clean tailpipe

$20.00 to clean the inside of the fuel tank latch/door

$25.00 to tape up trim before using PC/Rotary

My detaling wisdom...priceless

No wonder, I don't get any new customers. :D j/k

With Aloha,

Ranney :)

at least it's not black...IMO red is a pigment that you can make a big difference in.....it fades easy....so you should be able to bring it back better than they thought ya could
