Needing advice.

Hi :flowers:
Im reasonably new to car detailing but I think Im getting the idea. My main area Im failing miserably in is door hinges! It doesn't seem to matter what I spray on to them, or how much I get my fingers cut and bruised, I just cant seem to get them clean. I do a few jobs for a caryard that's close by and the job I got today shows me how woeful I really am. There was not a speck of dirt on those hinges and I cant for the life of me figure out how they do it.
Is there any chance someone could tell me what Im doing wrong? I was told today to use a toothbrush and Im going to try it, but what do I spray on it to loosen grease and dirt up. I already use a degreaser and it doesn't seem to work. Either that or Im using the wrong concentration.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

hi, welcome. what i do is soak them with all purpose or degreaser, depending on how much gunk is in there. after about 10 minutes or so, i turn down the pressure on the pressure washer and spray them that way. with low psi you won't get hardly any overspray, if you do wipe down the areas once you wash the hinge and you are all set. i don't scrub by hand because it tears up your hands, and takes too long. good luck.

What maxium said. Low psi nozzle after a good APC pre-soak. I sometimes use Meg's wheel brush for the nasty ones. Hope this helps mate....

Thanks heaps! Although I have to say Im glad I started pressure spraying on a car with vinyl floors. It takes a bit of practise hey?! Thanks again.
