Need to upgrade my detailing routine...completely confused!

Morning Everyone,

Its time for my spring detailing and need some help. I've read so much on this sight I think I've confused myself to no means!

I usually wash, clay, wash again, Polish with Megs #3, then Megs #20, followed by Megs # 26 Paste....I've been happy with this.

This year after washing all the winter crap off the car I have alot of minor scratches/swirls...it was a nasty winter!

I've also p[icked up the Klasse twins, which I;ve used on my father's car...although I'm not that enthused with SG...I'm gonna try to WOO method on my car.

From my understanding....neither AIO or #3 will remove minor imperfections....sratches/swirls.....So I think I need to add a step....now my confusion.

I am torn between DACP or SFP versus the new Menzerna products. Also, in reading up on the Menzerna products....is there a need for AIO if you use Intensive Polish followed by the Finishing polish?

The scrathes are minor....nothing deep....Since I already have the following products:

Klasse AIO and SG

Megs #3

Megs #20

Megs #26

What should I add into the mix....I'd rather finish using the products I have before creating a new arsenal. Also, in addition to what should be added....please let me know in which order. I've gotten very confused as to the purpose of AIO if you are using products like DACP/SFP or the Menzerna twins.

Thanks much for all the help.

Well, let's see here.....

You have a good number of duplicate products so I think you need to expand your arsenal a bit. A couple of good polishes will add a great deal to your inventory since you don't really have a polish now (#3 is a glaze).

I'd add DACP for sure. Its one of the most versatile polishes I've ever used. It would be a great first step for that spring detail job. SFP is a mild product, in between DACP and the #3. I can't speak for the Menzerna products as I don't use them but I'm sure both their polishes would be good additions as well.

AIO has several purposes but for you its maybe pointless as you have #20 which is very similar. AIO's cleaning ability is more chemical than mechanical, its a great one-step product, and is the best base for SG. If you can find a use for the twins, great. If not you might want to sell them to make room for some polishes. Something to consider, anyway.

Hope this helps.

Hmm...I thought that #20 would be the equivalent to SG...not AIO.

If I want to use the twins would this be the proper order:

DACP

SFP

AIO

SG

Is the SFP needed? Wouldn't AIO do the job of SFP?

Many Thanks
