Need to remove water spots...

I have water spots on the roof and hood of my car. They have been there ever since I bought the car and I cannot seem to make them go away. The car has been polished a couple of times, usually with Optimum Polish via a white LC pad on the PC, and then one time I tried some Optimum Compound via an orange LC pad on the PC and that didn't work either.

So, what should I do to get rid of them? I now have a Flex and the most aggressive pad I have is a purple foam wool or whatever they are called, but I don't have anything more aggressive than the Optimum Compound at the moment, but don't mind ordering something new if it'll get rid of the spots.

I will try to post up some pics once I get the car washed again.

Thanks!

buddy, im having the same problem as you...

i however used a PC w/ an orange pad + Poli-Seal, which doesnt have much cutting power. i ordered a bottle of Meg's #95 and a yellow pad, and I'm HOPING thats going to do the trick.

Does anyone know which has more cutting power? Optimum Compound v.s. Meg's #95?

The Opt Compound and the PFW on the Flex may be enough if they are not deeply etched. You may need to do each section 2-3 times. It should finish of nicely too. I would at least try it before spending the $20 on a quart of #95.

Will that remove a lot of clear...the OC w/ the PFW making 2-3 passes?

I am going to hopefully wash the car tomorrow and get some pics up.

Bump! How much clear will PFW and OC remove over 2-3 passes?

I tried capturing pics of the spots, but it's kind of hard.
