Need to remove KSG before Menzerna

I have a relatively new black car that I recently washed, clayed, AIO, SGx2. I'm not happy with the result. Perhaps I put the AIO or SG on too quickly after claying (with generous Final Inspection QD), but it looks like there are water spots underneath from certain angles. I'm planning on grinding down to the clear again with Menzerna IP/FP. Do I need to do anything to remove the SG/AIO first before going at it with the IP/FP? Or is one pass of that enough to get all toppings off in one feel swoop? Also, is IP the right agent to start with on a surface that is pretty smooth with just some minimal fine hairline scratches/swirls? Or should I see if I can get away with just FP? My impression from before is that FP doens't really get out any swirls, only intensifies a previous polish.

*Depending* on your situation IP/FPII might actually be overkill. If you have water etching (below surface marring) then IP/FPII would be needed to remove them - no need to remove SG before IP/FPII...just hit it with the polish. However, if you have water spots (above surface particles) then first try a little AIO instead of IP/FPII. The chemical cleaners in AIO may dissolve the spots. I bring up these two scenarios because IP/FPII is mechanically abrasive - no need to take clear coat off if you do not have to.
 
If your unhappy with the Klasse Twins, your going to have to polish the SG away.Thats your best choice to remove everything. Do a small section with FP, if it doesn't suit your eye for defect removal, go to IP. IP is a very good polish, but its not a strong as the name implies
