Need suggestions!

Ok I have a customer who just bought a 1950 GMC truck. The body is all original, but the gentleman who sold it to my customer had worked on it to make it "perfect." The paint is the pearl white that lexus offers, and looks great on that truck. Here is the problem, when you open the doors, there are mats that typically cover the sill, but when detailing I spotted rust. Any suggestions to remedy these spots? The are is typically covered by carpeting so she said she doesnt need perfect, just prevention from further rusting. Here is the pic below:

Second, within the tuck bed, the seams dont match up perfectly, and the water is able to sit and again cause rusting. Does anyone have any ideas on how to possibly fill these cracks and still look good? Pics are below:

Thanks for any feedback!

If it's not a 'show' car, you could use 3M's white auto/marine caulk with just the smallest bead laid into the seam of the bed and smoothed over.

As for the floor-board rust, you should examine the other side thoroughly. You want to start on the side that's in the worst condition. Those spots do not give me a good feeling about what you're going to find and what may be required to stop the cancer. Determine how bad it is on both sides and then report back. There are toooooo many options dependent on both sides of the floorboards. Some will be easy to "mask" the problem, others will be very intensive to arrest the problem and supply a solution.

Hope this helps.

POR-15 Rust Prevention

That is exactly what rust paint is for, grind if possible then hit it with rust paint. There are a few brands out there, this one and rust bullet are the most common. I think both companies market their products as just paint it over the rust, but I think it's always good to get rid of most as possible.
