ok my car, a 2006 chrysler 300c with a custom paint job, is going back to the shop to get the hood and bumper fixed (previous body guy screwed up doing my custom paint job, custom painted in late july 08) and while they fix that they are going to wetsand and polish the whole car out smooth as glass (again previous body guy gave me a custom paint job with lots of overspay, dry spray, orange peel and drips) so once that gets back i will have about 6 weeks left to deployment and will be ready for some serious care. this is what the paint consists of 1996 boss mustang orange with gold pearl over it and factory cool vanilla with a white pearl in it. i am very experienced in detailing as i do detailing on the side when im not deployed, but i am looking for recommendations on what products will make the pearls really pop out at you. this is my first car believe it or not that has pearl, that i will be working on. everything else has been solid colors or metallics. but never pearl. i was thinking of using zaino but will that give me the pearl effect i am striving for? also zaino doesnt recommend wax being used on top of their products but i see people doing so anyways.. any problems with that? anyways here is a pic of the car so you can see what we are dealing with.
