Ok im trying to get my trucks paint ready for show season. Its a dark cherry red metallic in color. The paint is in pretty good shape, its not my daily. I do have some swirl marks here and there and on the top of my bed rails i have like some rub marks from a car cover i had on when we had 80mph winds, but they are only visable in direct sunlight. Im looking to get in the more professional products as ive only ever used OTC stuff. I have read through the forums and what not but im lost as what products to choose, I was thinking about Menzerna since i have seen a lot of ggod reports. What would you folks recommend for me to accomplish what i want. Also good protection is important for me as well so a good carnuba type of wax is prob. best for my final step. I was going to go with Zaino but i dont feel like it offers good pretection and ive heard it makes dark colors look like plastic, id prefer a more warm look with good shine. Any help would be much appreciated!

Ok so after reading through many post i think ive narrowed it down to either menzerna or Griots garage polishes. I am leaning towards griots because i know what to use with each one to get the job done but i hear they are difficult to work with. I have read a lot of good stuff about the menzerna but im lost as which polish to choose and what LSP i should finish with? Like i stated before my paint isnt that bad with most problem areas on the hood and bed rails other then that shes pretty good. So for merzana im thinking:

Menzerna IP

Menzerna FP

LSP???

or

Griot step 3

Griots Bos wax

i would go with the menzerna polishes and do Zaino for the LSP. The protection is amazing and lasts at least 6 months from personal experience. I would do Z5 zfx'd X2 then Z2 zfx'd and top it with Z8. The shine is incredible.

Ok since i have very light swirls and pretty much only on the hood and bed rails which menzerna would you all recommend and what lake county pad?

106ff or intensive polish which im pretty sure i would need to follow with there final polish since i have dark paint. As for a lsp i think i want to go more with a carnuba vs. a sealant. For my daily im going to use a sealant, but since this vehicle is kept outside under a cover i want a little more surface protection that the nuba will offer. So for this im thinkin of

p21s

nattys blue

pinnicle sovveran

Any others you all suggest or reasons against or for the above?

Thanks!

'Man there are so many products out there! Im new to the polishing so im tyring to get into it to make my paint the best it can be for show season. So after reading yet more post i have come across the Pinnacle xmt polishes. Most seem to think they are easy for the beginner and seem like they will do what i want, opinions? If i go this route im thinking\r\n\r\npc 7424\r\n5\"backing plate\r\nxmt #2\r\nxmt#1\r\nxmt glaze\r\npinnacle series 2 nuba\r\n\r\nI think for most of my truck i can get by with the #1 can i just use #2 on my problem areas like my bed rails and hood? Also what pads would you all recommend? I have takin great care of my paint and only have minor marks on the hood (from paint shop after paint) and bed rails so im just looking to get the paint to its best to really make it pop.\r\n\r\nHere is a picture of my truck for referance

'Ok so after more searching i have come across the pinnacle xmt line of polishes. I have seen that most feel they are easy to use and beginner friendly which i am to polishing with a pc. Since my paint only has very light marks im thinking of going with the \r\n\r\npc7424\r\n5\"backing plate\r\nxmt #2\r\nxmt#1\r\nFinishing glaze\r\nseries 2 nuba\r\n\r\nIm thinking i can get y with just using the #1, and if i need to can i just use #2 on my problem areas? Also what pads should i get? Thanks!\r\n\r\nheres some pics of my trucks paint for referance\r\n\r\n

Ok so i already made a post that should show up soon and included pics of my truck which is why it has to be approved, but i want to get the answer i need so i can order my stuff today if possiable. So without pics i am now thinking of ps products, i have read a lot on the forum and they seem user friendly for the begginner which i am to polishing. So im thinking:

Pc7424

5" backing plate

wash

clay

wash

xmt #2, what lake county pad?

xmt #1, what lake county pad?

Glaze, again what pad?

series 2 ps nuba

Im thinking i can just do most of my truck with #1 since it isnt that abd at all, when my other post shows up the pics will tell. If this is the case can i just use #2 followed by #1 on the more trouble areas like the hood and bed rails?

Thanks!
