Ok so I'm working on an 04 330i in Sapphire Metallic and need a sugestion fo what pad/product combo to use. On the tight panels, I was using LC yellow 4 inch on the rotary at 1900 with SIP. This worked well, but took 3-4 psses to get the right results, plus I dont want to use a 4" pad for the whole car. Heres what Ive got to work with:
Pads:
-Purple Foamed Wool 6 inch (x6) (I'd like to use these if possible, so much easier to buff with wool when compounding)
-Megs Burgandy Compounding Pads
-LC Yellow 7.5" concaved (I hate these)
-Edge 2000 Yellow 8"
Here are the compunds I have:
-SIP
-OHC (old formula)
-HTEC/OP 50/50
-SSR3
I have more compounds but these are the ones that I'd use.
Here are some pics of the swirls:
FYI: I plan on finishing with 106ff.
