Can anyone tell me how you would go about taking care of this little problem?

Can you wet sand bumpers? And what grade should I use of sand paper? Do I work my way down or up on the grade? I don't know to much of Wet sanding and touch paint.

I want to learn.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

Here are some pictures hope it helps

Sorry to say, but that one's gonna require professional refinishing. The way it's down to the black means it can only be fixed with a paintgun (and the painter will have to sand things nice and smooth before he shoots it to eliminate the scrapes).

This one's not the sort of scratch you can wetsand/compound/polish away. Some of the damage (in the middle of the area) might be something you could wetsand out, but the whole area will need painted anyhow.

If you want to practice some wetsanding on that middle section, I'd get some Meguiar's Unigrit paper in various grits from 1500 up to 3000. I'll let somebody with more experience than I have tell you specifically how to do it, but the general idea is "don't over do it, the paint is more fragile than you'd think".

Now when you say 1500 up to 3000. Does that means the higher the grade the stronger it will be on the sand paper.

The custemer just hate seeing it. So I told her you can have the paint shop do it. Or if you dont care you can touch it up. So I will let her know about it.

Are Lexus cars are soft paint or more hard, would you know?

Accumulator,

Is it best to layer the paint one day at a time? And how long should I let it sit to dry a day or hours ??

your input would be great.

Thanks

Some people might be able to do something with an airbrush, but not me. No way would I try to brush it. Sorry, that's the sort of thing I send to a paintshop.

No I haven't

I'm going to try it on mine. and see what happens. Before I do her car. I have time so i need to practices frist and soon.

the A small "how-to" on chip repair/wetsanding + spring cleaning (black G35) (56k = owie)

Told me alot thanks again. Im going to see what happens.

Im going to try to put up pictures of before and after.
