I get moderate streaks from using OCW. I only use very like spritz like 2 tiny spritz per panel and it streaks no matter what. i thought OCW was user friendly. Is there a special technique on using this? Thanks for any help.

Never had any problems with OCW streaking. Does it streak on the 2nd wipe? Could it be that it's too cold? Dunno

I have not experienced this either. I was wondering if it could be the humidity? What are you using to apply it? What are the weather conditions when you apply it?

Well it was about 70 degrees today. I did detailed the car in the garage. My method was spray some on the MF then 2 light spritz on the panel so I can spread evenly. As I spread, the streaks flashes but somes just stays. Even if I respray that section still stays. I'm using 2 MF, one for spray, one for dry. Why is it so hard to use?

Spraying the applicator and panel might be too much product.

I usually just spray the panel and use a plush microfiber, one side to spread and the other to dry. No streaks yet. I need a another bottle soon. Love this stuff. I like to use it as a topper over Carnuba moose wax to increase the durability of the CMW.

Check the MF's...also make sure that the streaks don't disappear after a few hours. Sometimes when the polymers are still curing you might see a film which looks like a smear, but as everything cures they will even out.

Are you using it on tinted clear?

edit**Also, what is the base LSP? When was it applied? Was this applied as a "maintenance coat" or after polishing? If after polishing, did you wash before applyinig the OCW? All factors to consider...In my humble *experience* of course...

same issue I had with my OCW and stopped using it. I will change out bottles and try a different sprayer to see if that helps out. otherwise, I dont know

If the actives settle on the bottom of the bottle OCW may smear, but the V1.0 was more sensitive to this than V2.0.

Shake the bottle.

Use clean MF.

1-2 spritzes per panel is sufficient.

If smearing is still present, try to add just a little DI water to it.

I dont know what OCW is. I finish with a Zaino detailer spray even in 30 degree weather I never have a problem. Always use a clean micro...goes without saying. All my finishes are done with the finish pad rotary @ about 1500 rpm. By that time if you touch the panel with any cloth you end up marring it up. That is always the case on Black. I use the outdoors to perfect 90 percent of my work. There is nothing like daylight to show the finish imperfections. If I may humbly comment. Once a panel is perfect it needs nothing else. Essentially one has arrived.

I have gotten streaking with my OCW also. It takes a few extra wipes from my MF to get rid of them. I have not been using it the last few washes and have stuck with OID instead after and in between washes. I prefer the look of OID on my white car anyway.

I think I will keep the OCW for family and friends cars until it's gone.

Try some 1000w metal halides...you may change your opinion. :D

The lighting in our shop is waaaaaaaay less forgiving than sunlight.

Could there be something left behind from polishing?

I can't remember having any issues with the current version, the original one would streak in high humidity at times. New one doesn't seem to do that. Wouldn't be using it on my own car if I was having streaking issues. After detailing cars for others all day, I want mine to be as simple and easy as possible to take care of.

Yeah I`ve noticed streaks on my black Jaguar when using OCW if its not buffed off hard and fast, its put me off using it on this car.

Other colours and other cars no problems

I get streaks when I uses too much product. One light spritz per panel is plenty.

As others have said, sounds like you are using too much OCW.

I've never had a problem with OCW streaking. Love the stuff! :2thumbs:

Wow. Talk about a non-responsive post!

Agree with others. Too much product. I had this problem until I learned less is more. I recommend the pump sprayers over triggers. AG sells a great 12 oz pump bottle. You can get 4 oz pump bottles at Walmart for much less. I use 2 MFs one as a follow up.
