OK, hi Guys:)

I've been lurking on here for a while now and only today have I felt the need to finally post! (Aren't search buttons great?).

This is a bit of a rant, with a little qu at the end, so please bear with me...

Yesterday I acquired some king of overspray all over my miata - it looked like clear paint, but most of it came offwith a good hosing and soapy water today. Not all of it came off tho, so I finally dug out the clay bar that's been lurking at the bottom of my products bucket formonths and months... WOW! I know everyone loves these things, but I have to say it again; the difference is amazing - nice smooth paint. Great.

So, following the clay I washed & dryed (again) & then got out the Scratch-X and did the whole car (OMG, this took about 2.5 hours, even on this little car. I know some other polish would have been better, but it was all I had to hand. Car's looking great at this point, so to follow I had planned megs #7 and #26... Only, just then, it started raining...and is stillgoing now (9pm in the UK)... It's that reallyannoying stop/start spring rain.

So my Q is this: I guess I'm going to have to wash yet again tomorrow (assuming it's not still raining, and yet not too sunny to wax:( ) - is this going to remove all the fillers or whatever from the scratch-x layer? I'm really hoping Scratch-X has at least a tiny anount of protective something in it so the water doesn't etch my paint overnight :nixweiss .

So whaddya reckon? Will I have to reapply the scratch-x tomorrow???

Thanks for bearing with me guys :xyxthumbs

Don't know if SX has any fillers, but if the rain etched your paint you'll have to remove them anyways.

Inspect the paint and go from there.

Wash, inspect, if no damage continue with #7, #26. Try #7 on a very small area and inspect, if you need to.

BTW, are you from the South UK?;)

:welcome
