It was 6 degrees last night here in providence, RI. When i went into the shop this morning, the pipes were frozen. There was no water coming out and what came out turned into ice. What can i do?????

Do you have access to the pipes? Can you put a propane torch on them?

I think the plumbers use resistance type heating to thaw pipes.

Warm the room, blow heat on the pipes, etc.

Turn the heat on and they should slowly warm and free up?

I agree. If the pipes haven't burst consider youself lucky. If the pipes are exposed and and a propane torch or heater isn't available then a halogen or heat lamp will assist in de-thawing the pipes. Next time try and leave the water running at a slow trickle.
