I worked for 20+ hours on the exhaust starting with 600-800-1000-1500-2000 grit to get it to this level. Then after all that work it struck me that as soon as I fire it up and the system heats and cools it will change color to brown. The system is Bassani stainless and I am looking for advise on any product you think may work to keep it looking this way. :nixweiss

Thanks in advance any suggestions appriciated.. :secret

wow, i cannot help you, but thats one clean under body!!!

Holy crap, is that the driveline above the exhaust? That thing looks HUGE!!

Thanks for compliments. The thing above the exhaust is the aluminium drive shaft.

I've done the same process to my SLP Loudmouth on the Mach 1 and it seems to stay polished for quite a while. Now, I use Meguiar's NXT Metal Polysh to keep the appearance. The stainless will turn a slight brown near "hot spots" but come back to shiney pretty quickly.

My next step is aluminum driveshaft and painting the rear axle housing + aluminum differential cover...it never ends!

Ive been wanting to sand and paint my rear axle and rear suspension(control arms).. Its already painted from the factory, but it wasnt done very well and it has some rust spots after three years. I cannot believe yours isnt painted at all though. Unless you've sanded it or something..

My front suspension still looks good. The paint on the lower control arms(ifs) looks like its getting alittle thin, but I think I could paint them while their on the jeep. If I had to take them off, I would need to get an alignment, and Im tired if getting those. Ive put new suspension on it twice now to get it the way I like(lift kit, its a Jeep).
