Good Evening Folks,
A fellow member on another forum has an issue that I told him I would post here to see if we could find some effective, relatively safe solutions. Here's his description:
Some additional information based on my own observations:
- The center armrest and bolster where he shows the stains are actually vinyl. The seats on the Challenger R/T (which this car is) have leather trimmed seats. The only portion of the seats that are actually leather are the center panels (partially visible in the first picture.
- The manufacturer of Exopy Shield recommends Xylol (Xylene) for clean up of the product.
- The product should be fully cured by now considering the length of time and the fact we're only talking about thin residue.
A major concern is obviously using harsh solvents that might damage/alter the surfaces.
If anyone has any experience removing epoxy paint from similar finishes and/or knowledge of how these materials and chemicals interact, we would appreciate if you could chime in.
Thanks,
Kean

I recently remodeled my garage and applied the epoxy cover by Rust-Oleum (Epoxy Shield)
Apparently I got some on my coat sleeve and then that got transferred to the leather seat, two streaks about 1 to 2" long and 1/8" wide.
I have not attempted to remove it. Any advice would be welcome.
It's been a week, unfortunately.
