starting with my 01 yellow s2000 that sits outside :(

we've got a little car show comming up Sunday and me and another s2000 guy have a friendly wager on who's car looks the best. He works at a body shop so i don't what he uses but he's always knocking Zaino (i love the stuff)

in any event here's what i've done so far (over the course of two weeks)

dawn washed

clayed with Zaino clay

zaino washed

z5

then z6 gloss enhaner (sp)

z5

then z6

z2

z6

z2

now today washed with Zaino

z5

and finished with two coats of S100

i guess my question is if i keep adding s100 will the shine get better / deeper?

Thanks

Bass

whoops after seaching some posts i might have made a mistake - i should have stuck with a lot of coats of z2 but what the heck i'll toss a few more coats to s100 over the Z and then dawn wash in a month and keep adding more z2

Personally, I like to use one or the other. After experimenting with Souveran, Zaino, and P21s, I have come to prefer them each alone. I have not found topping Zaino to provide any benefit. If you're using Zaino, a few Z2/ZFX coats should be all you need. If you're using P21s/S100/Souveran, a coat of Meguiars #7 topped by your carnauba of choice will give you another notch.

what condition is your paint in? I figure a nice light polish (I find this brings out more shine on a car older than a year old) and a dawn wash then going crazy with the Z in a few months...

The paint is in pretty good condition as i've been useing Z since day one but i wanted to add a deeper shine..

I remember you from the S2ki forum where you advised me to use the CD2 engine detailing kit ;) :)

From then on, I've become an obsessive-compulsive on here  :D
