One thing my armoury lacks is a wet/dry vac for cleaning carpets and seats. I'd be interested to know what you folks use & recommend for this job ?

I just bought this 5hp, 12-gal Ridgid from Home Depot for $99 and I really like it. Very powerful and has a blower port too!

TigerMike I just bought the same vac from Homedepot for $7x.xx out the door this past Saturday (not on sale reg price in SC). Man that thing is awesome, strong suction that doesn't fade.

:woot:

Very good price you found there. I watched the price on these things for the past couple months and it never budged from around $99, so I went ahead and got one. I agree, the suction is near incredible. Considering the price/quality ratio, I am very happy!

Regards,

Mike

Nice! I think I'm going to grab one... does it to hot/steam? And what solution could I pure into it... Megs APC?

I bought it for $29.99 during the Black Friday sale. A steal to say the least! I'm very happy with the performance. I use it mainly at home because our basement is currently under construction. I've used it once on the carpets.

These are just wet/dry vacs.

I also picked up the 5HP/12 gallon Ridgid for $30 on Black Friday a couple of years ago. It's a very nice vac, but it is fairly large. Anyone doing mobile work might want to look at the 4050 that bigal3 posted a picture of.

I bought the 16 gallon Craftsman at Sears for $83 on sale. It has TREMENDOUS suction and the best part is that it has a detachable motor, that you can carry around with you (basically just the motor and a connection for a hose) and use it as a blower with the nozzle accessory. IIt has a 225 mph wind on it and it's a wet/dry vacuum. The detachable top has a handle, of course, so that you can carry it around. It 6.5 HP. I really like it. It's kind of big, though.:woohoo:
