I am trying to detail my car before i head down to Jax, and the only thing i am out of now is top cleaner, and i dont have time to go get any. I do have some Folex though, would it be safe to use this on the top? Im going to be reapplying RaggTopp Protectant afterwards, if that helps. I need to know ASAP...

I don't see why not. Folex doesn't contain bleach or any other harsh chemicals. If it's a black top I wouldn't worry about it. If it's a lighter color top I might want to test a very small area in an inconspicuous place.

I've used folex on all types of materials and never once have I had a problem, stain, or remaining residue. Hopefully someone will reply if it's unsafe.

Don't take my post as the end-all solution, but I think it's safe.

Folex is a neutral surfactant that does not contain any enzyme cleaning agents. According to their website (Folex Fact Sheet) , it is safe on any colorfast/color stable surfaces that can be cleaned with water.

I doubt you would have any ill effects from using Folex on your convertible top. But, why not just use a regular old car wash solution instead? Are you trying to remove specific stains, or are you just cleaning the top?
