Need car cover advice

It looks like Im going to have to keep my 9k mile 2002 SVT Lightning outside this winter. With 5 cars and 2.5 car garage, well you do the math. I think Im giving one spot to the wife and Ill keep one. ONe of the other toys will be going into my Aunts garage who lives nearby. That unfortuantely leaves my 02 Lightning and daily driver Contour SVT outside.

I would like some recomendations on which car cover to get. Something that will protect it from sun, rain, snow, ice, wind, etc yet still be "gentle" on the painted finishes. TIA.

Finish Kare sells #331-21 storage wax. I have never used it , but they state that it lasts through heavy rains. I'm not sure about snow. Maybe someone has tried it.

That's funny, I was shopping for a cover for my Expedition just last night. I have a custom cover for my mustang that I bought from California Car Covers. It's the Noah cover and it's an extremely nice cover but I think I am going to get something that is a little more waterproof this time.

So far I have looked at the ones sold by Autogeek and California Car Covers. CCC recommends the Superweave for my climate and that one's around $440 for the single color cover. Autogeek sells the Covercraft brand covers, and it looks like *their* best cover is the Weathershield HD for $495.

WOW...I am getting ready to order the Weathershield HD for my car. Webcovers.com has it for $299.99. plus $12.00 shipping.

Webcovers seems to be current reigning champion of cover prices

I'll endorse the best of both worlds, two cover method again FWIW: a Noah over a WS. Sounds sac religious but it works, I've used the 2 for 4 years now.
