I have never detailed a Honda before. I have read that hondas has soft paint. A friend has a Black 2006 honda CRV, that he has just purchased that looks like it has been ran thru a car wash or either buffed by someone not used to rotory buffers. It has swirl marks all over the car.Can someone that has detailed hondas before advise me on the best polishes, cleaners for hondas. I have the Pinnacle Xmt line(1,2,3) of polishes. Would these be sufficent or should I purchased some Menzerna products, If so which products.........I also have the Klasse products and most all of the Zaino line......thanks

If it's as bad as you say, I would forget about the Klass products. AIO is almost worthless when it comes to defect removal. And KSG doesn't seem to do very much in terms of filling and hiding defects. Though it is a very capable sealant.

I'm a fan of the Menzerna line, it's what I use on my own cars 90% of the time. I have also used the XMT stuff and it works alright, just not as good as the Menzerna. I've never used Zaino.

If the problem is as bad as you say, you're going to need either SIP, or IP from menzerna and then PO106FA. Altogether you're looking at $100+. Is your friend paying you to do this to his car? Is he willing to buy the polishes himself?

So if I were you, I would use what I have and just do several passes if necessary. I wouldn't invest any more money until I was absolutely convinced that I was getting nowhere. You shouldn't have that problem though, XMT is pretty good stuff.

Wolfgang TSR and FG (reportedly similar to SIP / 106FF) are made by Menernza and available in smaller quantities so they are not as expensive as getting the quarts.
