Im 16, just got my first car 1992 325i, and need some cash for gas and what not....

Do you think i could get a job at a dealership washing/detailing cars?

IF anyone has any experience form working at a dealership in that area, i would like to know what they ave you do and if they will actually hire some 16 y/o kid.....

if that dosn't work out, i would still like to be somewhere where i get to detail cars...any suggestions?

I think you have to be 18 with a good driving record. I use to work at Toyota and most of the "detailers" were 18 or older. All they did was wash cars through the tunnel.

I think you might have a hard time finding a dealership that would hire you. Most 16 year olds think they can drive very well, few actually can. And while you think you might not have to do any driving to do detailing, most dealerships require everyone to be able to drive for one reason or another. I think your best bet might be a mom and pop detail outfit. Someone might be willing to give you a chance. Or you could do what I did when I was 16, I dropped flyers at houses and got plenty of business. Just start with simple wash and waxes and maybe move on from there.
