Natty's Red Paste Wax

I just finished waxing with Natty's Red Paste Wax. I used the hand/foam application. It went on/off very nicely. So far I am very pleased with the results. How similar or difficult will dodo juice soft and hard wax be by hand. Would Natty's be considered soft?
 
I have never used Natty's Red; however, I do use the DoDo Juice Double Wax, which contains both the hard and soft, and they are both very easy to apply and remove by hand.
 
I've never used the any of the dodo juice waxes, but I'd imagine it would be a soft, just compared to all of the other waxes I've used. But since I've never used dodo juice, take that with a grain of salt...

Here is what im going to say.....in the summer i found Nattys to be very soft and its similar to a soft Dodo. The hard Dodos tend to be very firm, pulling a foam app across them gets a very thing covering of product. Pushing your finger in to them will give some resistance before it likely slides off.



IMO, if your considering a Dodo wax it wont look much better then Nattys Red IMO. I have have tried most of them and they are asking alot more $$ for a product thats hardly better looking. If you want something with better optics and is more durable try Victoria wax Concours.
 
Love Natty's Red. I have that and the Blue. Pretty soft and I would buy

them both again. I think red looks better on darker cars and blue on lighter ones.

According to poorboys, it should be the other way around.

I can assure you that red looks GREAT and dark metallic paints.

Yes agree with you and also the victoria chaos very durable and add a lot of gloss and wetness .

I'm in the minority on this one. I must be the only person in existence who had problems with removal of Natty's Red. I also was not impressed with the looks.



I have Dodo Juice's Supernatural, and find it to be superior to Natty's Red in terms of application and looks.
 
I have a silver truck and have both Natty's white, red, and blue and DoDo's double wax along with Rubbish boys JE. since my truck is silver clarity is what I am looking for . I find that Natty's white topped by red brings a decent amount of clarity and a lot of shine. Overall I prefer DoDo's RBJE for clarity ease of use and longevity. I get maybe 2-3 mo's out of any Natty's vs. 4+ mo's out of the Dodo products.

You may be in the minority on the ease of removal, I used it yesterday and found it to be one of the easiest waxes to remove. :think2

But I must agree that with you on the looks :nervous:

It just looked ok... nothing special. :sadpace:

Just had to post. I agree 100% with the difficulty in removing Natty's Red. I ALWAYS have left over residue. It's a very oily wax and removal in any sort of hot weather has been a constant chore for me. Even Mike over at AG said he had issues with oil residue during removal. It's not something you can see all the time...requires the right angle and lighting. But once you notice it...you will see it consistently with Natty's waxes. But this is just my own personal experiences in the extremely hot and humid SW Florida.



As far as looks I've never been floored with any Natty's wax. Actually...I think I feel that way about all of Poorboy's products. <shrug>
 
Nattys is a nice wax but does not last long...I used it and gave it away.. Look nice but longevity is poor. Plus bird dropping go right through it...I will take CG 5050 over it..



If you are selling a car / trading it in, use it..
 
Funny you posted this now... I just switched from Natty Red to Dodo Banana Armour.

I used Nattys Red for years on my 1988 Porsche 911, really liked it, car looked amazing, got tons of complements. After reading here and other places decided to try the Dodo Banana.

I never had issues with the Nattys, went on good,came off good.looked great.The longevity

was, however, an issue. I decided to go with a combo Dodo, as I have a Guards Red car,

The suggested Dodo was The Banana Armour/Orange Crush. Banana=hard Orange=soft

I applied 3 coats of the Banana and one Orange. WoW, just WoW, absolutely amazing.

The Dodo goes on better, comes off better and is just easier to work with, a little goes a long way.The overall look of the car, to me, looks better, but, it is not that much of a difference, more of a subtle overall look that I like better. Still think Natty Red is the best

wax for under 30 bucks.
 
Steve at PB told me that Natty's Red is supposed to enhance shine, that is why it's recommended for lighter colors. He also told me he considers it a showcar wax, which may explain the low durability factor.
 
I got the red version for Christmas this year, but have always said that the Blue looks great on white paint
