Nasty Porsche Boxster S - 56k beware

Hey guys. I did this car tonight for a neighbor, and wow was it pretty dirty! It would seem the car was used as a kennel for long haired dogs and cats ;) Anyway she is looking a lot better now, I really like this car. What do you guys think?

Process

Exterior:

-Wash with Griot's car wash

-Clay with Griot's detailing clay

-Scrub wheels/tires/wheel wells with Griot's wheel cleaner

-Polish with Poorboys SSR2.5 and orange pad on 6

-Polish with Klasse AIO and orange pad on 4

-Seal with Klasse SG

-Tires with Megs gold class rubber protectant

-Clearbra with Plexus

-Exhaust tips with Mother's Billet metal polish

Interior:

-Glass Plus for windows

-Shop Vac like a maniac

-Pinnacle Leather Cleaner/Conditioner for seats

-Megs interior quick detailer for dash/electronics

Here are the before pics.

Ugh, what a disaster you started off with. How can anyone do that to a Porsche?

Big improvement, especially the interior. :)

Looks really good!!

But man..to do that to a type S on top of that...

Just for my own curiosity...what's that at the bottom of the gas pedal. Corrosion?? Salt?

Ok I couldn't take it...had to go check and clean whatever that was...even tho it's going under the mats...which are drying from being shampooed...forgot to mention that... :) Anyway I'm not sure what it was, but I got it. :nana: But now it looks like there's other dirty stuff down there...who knows, I could spend all day cleaning this car...but it's a big improvement from where it was!

:chuckle: I know what you mean..i drive my wife nuts when i start to look back at my car and do more corrections...she always say to let good enough alone...but its stronger than me i just have to make a thiny adjustment i tell her....hehehe

Huge improvement by all mean :2thumbs:

I hope the owner will be pleased. I certainly would keep a ride like that a little cleaner, but oh well. I really like the interior of the boxster. Weird, but the key goes in on the left...first time I've started a car left handed.

Nice job.

As mentioned it is sometimes hard to believe a nice car can carry around so much "stuff" on the inside. The owner must be a very busy person.

What sort of time did you put into the car?

Thx guys. I'd say I put about 4.5-5 hours into it. As expected, much of which was cleaning the interior.

What would you guys typically charge for something like that?

It was pretty nasty, but not nearly as bad as the sunfire CJ detailed, thread also in this forum. I still can't believe the owner of that car had a clam in the trunk! LOL

Thanks for the information on the time you invested in the car.

I've not done enough to offer any advise on pricing - sorry.

Best of luck.
