i had parked my '04 fx35 in a parking garage that was cleaning the floor below. when i returned, i saw all these small white dots on the paint. i assumed they'd wash off. oh no they didn't!! it took clay and then menzerna 106ff and fpII and fmj. see before and after:

i don't know what it was..but i'll tell you this: it was nasty sh*t!! it was harder to get off then i thought it was going to be, just b/c there was so much of it! thank god for clay bars!!

by the way, how long can you use a piece of clay until it needs to get discarded?

If you used it on that stuff, I'd probably toss it! Normally I only use clay once. I cut the bar into thirds and use one at a time. Previously, I would use the clay two or three times depending on the cars it was used on. If it looks remotely dirty, toss it. No sense it marring your paint to save $10... :2thumbs:

ok..thanks, i wasn't sure how many times..mine's already past due!! :wow:

MY CAR HAS THE SAME THING! Except it was inflicted while my car was at a shady bodyshop! Have not had time to correct the paint yet but claybar does seem to work. I used some on the black part of my side mirror as it was caked on and appeared to work well.
