name your favorite mild polishes choices and why

For a very mild polish I use Meg's #80. If I need more than that I use their #83 or Malco Foam Pad Polish or their Rejuvenator. Never heard of Malms.

ocp is not in the acronym list care to expound on those initials? malms is an old carnuba only sold from magazines. they have a nice yellow liquad wax kinda hard to remove pure carnuba supposedly. Thier polish was a very mild polish. I have not bought from themin ages. i would guess www.malms.com ?

Menzerna P085RD and PO106FF are my choice for the ultimate finishing polish. they do not dust, work very quick and have no fillers. it does not hurt either that they leave a perfect finish as well. they are a bit pricey but worth it to me. FPII would be my next choice as a light polish if the other two were not avialable. just my two cents.

OCP=Optimum Car Polish It's bigger brother is OCC=Optimum Car Compound There will soon be a new acronym hitting autopia OHC=Optimum Hyper Compound (registered trademark Neothin 2005, $1 per use) which is a faster acting, more aggressive OCC.

PO85RD is on my christmas list.

Yea, what he said :xyxthumbs

Optimum Polish. Finishes down extremely well, extremely low dusting. Works well with polishing and cutting pads.

I also like Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze, especially on dark paint. Similar attributes to Optimum but breaks down more quickly and leaves a very rich looking finish.

no fillers only a mild polish for 2000 grit and up.

Meguiar´s 80 contains fillers right?

My choice is Menzerna PO85RD - micropolish. IMO the best fine polish ever. Superb finish!

okay I will clarify yes that is what I am most interested in. I have a new car coming in and I anticipate some damage control and need a mild finishing polish. BTW does the ps21 paint clenser classify as such? I plan to do my usual aio and sg with a souvrain topper the color is chevrolet corvette victory red. The other area I need the polish is for my Acura I am going into my second cycle of aio etc. It is about 6 months old and has minimal fine scratches an some acid rain pitting. The foam gun and mf has really kept the scarring down to a minimum. I really wish there was an industry wide abrasive ness or polish scale

IMO, Optimum Polish or Meguiars #80 will work best for your situation. I'd suggest trying Werkstatt's Prime and Acrylic Jett, I think you will like them even better than Klasse.
