Hello everyone! First, I want to thank Autopia and all its members for the wealth of information you have all provided me.

Until recently, I had always used Meguire's products (their 3-4 step program) or had my car sent to a detailer. I found myself spending $100-$180 every 4-6 weeks for detail and after spending over $1,000 in a couple of months, I received a wake up call and decided to detail my cars myself once again. However, the thought of spending 5-6 hours on vehicle doing the Meguire's 3-4 step program was very discouraging. This is when I was introduced to Adam's Polishes by a fellow truck club member.

I started using Adam's Polishes in September and have never looked back. I found their products very easy to use with excellent results! Their polish is so good that at every show I'm always complimented on my custom silver paint....it's factory! I get a Zaino-type wet-looking finish with long-lasting protection. I never everyone has difference opinions about what works and what doesn't, so I thought I would share my experience with the products I use.

Now to my question, will washing a wax applicator foam pad and rags in a home washing machine ruin the washing machine? I was told that wax residue will stay in the machine and ruin clothes? Any truth to that?

Thanks.

I wash my wax applicators in a 5qt bucket in the basement sink. Use Dawn and hot water, and try to squeeze out any wax that is inside the applicator, and rub off any wax that is on the surface. Then soak the hot soapy water into the pad and ring it out.

Then I soak up a bunch of water from the faucet, and ring out the pad again. I do this a few times, and squeeze out as much water as possible, and let it air dry.
