Mytee extractor = Highly disappointed.

I purchased a Mytee S-300 for mobile work. When it arrived the cap on the capture tank was in pieces. It was immediately replaced by the distributor. On the first use of the machine for a job, after about 5 minutes of use, the hose began to come apart. I cut off the separated section and continued. I have found the hose continues to come apart. I have taped the entire length with duct tape as a temporary fix but it is far from a professional look. The junctions of the hose also have begun to pull apart with any pressure on them now that the weather is warmer.

Even with the new cap the dirty water continues to leak making it not practical for use in a large SUV where the machine must be placed in the vehicle in order to reach.

I sent an email to Mytee several days ago and have yet to receive any response.

If this is the quality to be expected from the brand I cannot ever justify spending over $1000 for a bigger machine, particularly if their customer service is going to ignore me if there is an issue.

Sorry you are having problems with your equipment...

Did you go back to the people you purchased it from ? Was it Mytee direct ???

If not, I would be talking to whoever sold it to me and let them deal with Myee, after they solve your problems...

Good luck !

Wow. Sorry to hear you are having those problems! I bought a tempo last year and have been very satisfied with it. Haven`t had any of the issues you describe. I`ll have to keep a look out for these types of failures

Sorry to hear about your problems. I bought a Mytee Spyder about a year ago and it has been very good so far. But I saw the thread over on AG about Mytee`s horrible customer service a while after I had bought it. I probably would not have got a Mytee if I would have known about that. Hope it starts working better for you.

I have only had a couple of experiences with Mytee, California customer service; I was looking to buy something..
They were not very good and their prices were absolutely nutso...

I just went elsewhere and found the same thing for less dinero`... :)

Another thing - find a local professional carpet and floor cleaning supplier that sells equipment ( and they almost all do), go down there, meet the guys, meet the guy who works on all the equipment, and you will find that these guys can sell you the same parts for your equipment and for much less than going back to the manufacturer ( unless its still under warranty)...

Lucky for me, my Mytee HP60 Spyder 10 years old now at least, still runs great, never had a failure, and I only run water through it, and occasionally run some distilled white vinegar through it to clean out all my extractor tool jets, etc...

It`s a beast, Im so glad I have it !
