My thoughts on recent Meg's Products

Let me begin by saying that i use almost exclusively meguiars, although i do own some 1z, eagle one, 3m, hi-temp, products. Meguiars has always given me great results and i thought id give a little review of some of thier recent offerings. These are just my observations from my own testing, take them for what thier worth.

Nxt Tech wax

-Seems to be a decent over the counter sealant. Durability is not its strong suit, i got about 5 weeks on my dads blue lumina which i washed 3 times with nxt car wash. On my own car i have only gone 3 weeks before applying another layer. Over those three weeks i washed my car 3 times with nxt wash and the protection was still there and sheeted nicely. The look is very glossy and is a great mix between the shiny sealant look and the glossy and deep carnauba. I will probably buy another bottle because even though it doesnt last long it does have the best look ive seen on my car. Also, it seems best if applied by PC.

Nxt Car wash-

This is not my second favourite car wash, right behind Perls. This wash really helps with the drying process because it sheets off so nicely. It is also very reasonable at about 6$ for a large bottle. I really like this product. Smells great and leaves little water on the finish after washing. Also provided better than average lubricity and cleaning abilitiy.

Meguiars Quick Suds-

Only tried this on the lower body panels as i only had one strip from the sample pack. Lots of bubbles and has light cleaning abilities. I would use this but only for a lightly dusty/dirty car wash.

Hot Shine Tire Spray

This is a very good tire dressing. It is a thick spray which i usually apply to a sponge. Goes on very easily and leaves a nice slightly glossy satin look. Lasts about 2-3 weeks and lasts well through rain and car washes. This is now my favourite tire dressing. Also, if you buff the tires the tires are just a nice satin with very little gloss and no sling.

Nxt Protectant

This is somewhat similiar to the hot shine tire spray on tires. Leaves a nice satin look. On interior vinyl the shine is a bit too glossy for my tastes and is 'somewhat' greasy, even when wiped down w/ an MF towel. I do like the look on exterior trim as it is a nice even satin look. I will probably buy another bottle when i use the first one up. Good value.

The only thing I can't attest to is the Tech Wax. I topped mine with #16 so it looks killer to this point. The rest seems pretty accurate.

I really like the Quick Suds strips. They are a great, lightweight product to carry around in the trunk for a quick wash at a self-serve wash bay.

The strips are decent. They seems to do an okay job of cleaning, but are lacking on lubricity which could cause surface marring.
