Was going to a car show this past weeked and decided to order some Clearkote stuff to try. They were very helpful and the service was great.

QS- great quick detailer, cleans real well, leaves the paint slick and shiny. More of a cleaner to me but does ad shine. I found that it works great for plastic on the inside as it gives a nice satin sheen and cleans well.

VMW- Easy on and off. I used it with a PC and white pad from CMA. It is a very thin liquid and that made it difficult to use on a PC. Might sling if you are not careful. Gives a real wet look. Very little abrasives, won't take out to many swirls. A very good glaze in my opinion. Gives a deep wet look that is slick.

CMW- Easy on and off with PC and gray pad. Leaves a very smooth silky feel. Real wet and deep looking. Adds alot of richness to the paint. Different then S100, is not as reflective. Adds more depth then Zaino does. Not sure how long it last.

Tire Spray-Gives a real wet look. I applied it with a spnge and let sit. More of a shine then Zaino tire. Not as wet as Vinylex. See how long it last.

Overall great products. I like the wet look of the wax, I am going to try topping it with Souveran or S100 to give a harder shine, how well it beads as I just put it on. Probably not quite as wet as it looks now I would imagine when topped but just a bit more reflective. I guess it is personal preference I like a real deep reflective shiny look. And besides, I like to try new and different things :D Clearkote did deliver and does perform well. I got a great deal on the show package special and their service was great. There products work very well. Overall :up

See the pics for yourself. Here what I did:

Truck, washed with Clearkote wash. Applied VMW with PC and white pad. Applied CMW with gray pad. QS to detail out. This was at a car show the pics were taken. Gave the truck a really wet look. Alittle different then what I am use to on my pewter truck. The truck was just drive 800 miles. It has been neglected for a while as it has been worked on and I have not had much time. I plan on stripping it completely off and then starting over and doing it right :D

The vette has a coat of S100 on it. I washed and then QS detailed it. Did not do any VMW as I did polish it with GEPC a while ago. Just wanted to try the CMW and see how it would do. Needs to be stripped and buff right. Put CMW with PC and gray pad straight on without doing anything else to it. It worked well :D

Nice review and great pictures! Beautiful Vette! :up

I've noticed about the same thing as you. S100 is a bit brighter and more reflective and CMW is deeper and wetter. For that reason, I usually use S100 on light colored metallics (like silvers, golds, etc) and CMW on everything else.

I've found that as far as durability goes, CMW is at least as good as I've been getting from S100, which is about 3 months...which is about as long as I let my customer's cars go without upselling a wax job.

BTW, how did you like the Clearkote car wash? I take it you have the blue version, right? My experience is that is does a good job cleaning, suds up well and sheets water very well after you remove the nozzle and let the water run out of the end of the hose onto the paint.

Scott, yes I have the blue version. washed yesterday actually. It suds up OK, it seems real slcik then soapy to me, alot of lubricants it seems. Does a good job of cleaning. The CMW I had on the truck beaded OK, not a real tight bead like I am use to with Zaino or S100. It sheated well like you said when i run the hose over it.

I am actually going to oder a bunch of stuff and try some things out soon, got to experiment you know. The 10 step process...LOL :D

Michael,

Very nice review! I have been reading about Clearkote's products since I became a member here and I think your review just did the final persuasion. Between yours and Scott's success with them is plenty good for me...especially with pics to prove it. I love S100, but with CMW as comparable to it, just deeper, I definately will give it a try for dark cars.

Your vette just looks amazing! Those rims are to die for. HRE have been my favorite forever.

So on my list now for the spring is QS and CMW from Clearkote, maybe some Vanilla Moose...:D

Thanks for the kind words. CK products are nice, I have used alot, Zaino, Pinnacle, One Grand, S100, Megs, etc. I should post reviews more often!! Well, I am going to try some different polishes to get some swirls out, then glaze it, then seal it, then use CMW and probably a topper. Expect some reviews soon for some products, alot that Scottwax recommended :D We are going for the ultimate shine :D
