Keep the felt ring under the backing plate oiled with Air Tool Oil.



Before each use, make sure the center bolt holding the backing plate is tight. If it's anything but nice and tight while you apply pressure at anything but flat, you may burn up your backing plate.



When you burn it, you'll smell it... :angry
 
Wow, now that I've posted this, seems like it's old news. Sorry about that.





Now if I could only feel my fingers again after having to use the PC to do the job... :) Thankful I had a backup!
