Heres what i plan to do come this spring, this will be my first "Autopian" springtime, in which i clean up the car from the nasty winter. Heres my plan:

Wash-clay-Dry

Dacp x 2 w/ yellow pad

Hi-Temp Lite cut x 2 or #9 x 2 w/ yellow

lite cut or 9 x 1 w/ grey pad

#7 show car glaze

Nxt or 20

26 applied after next washing of car

how does this sound, i cannot wait to play w/ my pc again, wish i had a heated garage so that i could wash yr round, o well. Thanks for looking

If you're using Lake Country pads, I think you'll want to use the lite cut with a white not a grey pad. I'd use the grey for something like #7 or the protectant.

I also reccomend #81 Hand Polish over #7, just my personal preference.

Looks good!

im not sure what brand of pad im using actually, i bought them at TOL and the yellow was for cutting, grey light polish and they had white for wax/sealants.

If they are Lake Country...

Yellow = cutting

White = polishing

black/gray = finishing

Here's my scenario for you with your products

Wash

Clay

DACP worked properly with yellow pad. #7 by hand

#20 by hand

#26 or NXT by hand

So you wouldn't recommend applying #7 with a PC + white pad? Just your preference, or it doesn't work well?

In my opinion, I like #7 by hand. You can apply #3 with a machine.

Also, #7 is good with older single stage paints and Professional Hand Polish is better for modern clear coats. In my opinion, this one is easier to work with than #7.

Read that link if you want to use #7.
