My Shmitt separated

I haven't used my Shmitt for more than 2 dozen car washes. My last product used for washing was CG
Citrus Wash & Gloss Synthetic Citrus Based Hyper-Wash+GLOSS which is a citrus based product (duh). The Shmitt separated at the bead that glues the white and yellow portions together. I can see the perfect adhesive on the yellow part. The white waffle part is still usable, I just can't get my hand into the Shmitt now, because it cleanly separated in half. Perhaps the glue used in construction of the Shmitt cannot take the Citrus based car shampoo? I'm getting a sea sponge!:notme:

Call Aaron at Edge he is real good about standing behind his products...he might also want the one back that you have to see why it separated..

There have been a lot of separation issues with the Shmitts. The Edge people did switch to a new glue but I think the new glue was used on all white / yellow shmitts and the old glue was on the white /white. They have also been upgrading shmitts for longer durability...

Don't forget to look at the Lake Country Ulti-Mitt as a new washing tool as well. The sea sponges are great for rinseless washing.

I don't think it was the soap. I have been using the same one recently and my ShMitt is fine. In fact, I've been using the same one for over a year and it probably has close to 100 washes on it. Still works like new too even if it does have a few slices on it.
