My Recent Order

So here's how this story starts, placed an order on Feb.21 and it just left Florida on the 26. Normally :drive: shipping has been really good but when you have to pay almost $30.00 to get it up here to Canada,that's B.S. Now I'm not xxxxx-in about Autopia but USPS, it's to bad UPS:kick: gives it to you up the yahoo with duty. Ho well it's going to rain for the next couple of days so I will have to wait to play with my new BF stuff.:wall
 
yes but now you can create whiplash in the great white north. something tells me the ups rates are about to go up again with the rising gas prices.
 
The shipping rates for me to the West Coast are so bad now that they somehow end up to be at least half the total cost of the order ! And if I try to order just a really small, light, order, then the shipping costs are still more than half the cost of the 3 sponges or whatever I ordered to see how much it would cost.
I am sorry that shipping seems to be even way more for you!!

Perhaps the only way to help defray the huge cost of shipping for the consumer is to find a bunch of people in your area and you all make one big order and split the shipping cost X number of ways...

I would do this if anyone around here wanted to join..

Yes you can swing by PBMG and pick up your order. Let me know when you are coming and see if we can coordinate it with when I am down there. It would be great to meet a forum member.

Yes it would be great to meet up and say hello, I know we are coming down to Davenport on April 7th and staying in Florida till the 14th.
 
I ship my stuff to a warehouse in Buffalo for free then drive across the border to pick it up. Costs $6 per package and gas money.

I also fill up when I'm over there and have lunch at the cheesecake factory so it's all good...

I feel stupid right now, I forgot one of my friends has a place in Buffalo. I never thought of doing that. Every time we go across the wife likes to go to the Olive Garden.
 
No worries, I shipped my very first order to Canada too.

Then I thought, geez for this $25 (on a $100 order) I could have bought so much more stuff! Multiply that by 10 plus orders in the last year and we're talking some serious dough that went towards products instead of shipping... :)
 
Well my package just showed up first time I have had to pay duty, another $23.00. How about having a store up here in Ontario so we don't get nailed with duty. There is a detailing guy up here that does have a store and buys his stuff from PBMG but he's not that close, would be nice to sometimes see the product first.
 
i agree there needs to be more retail brick and morter detail stores. but that only fares well in areas where there is alot of people who like to take care of their cars.
