I did a bunch of details over the last 2 weeks, just hadn't had time to get pics off the camera and onto my site until last night.

About 2 weeks ago I got a call from my buddies at the local shop, they needed some cars done the day before a show they were attending. Becasue of time constraints, I was only able to do a 1 step polish on most of the cars (except the Genesis coupe)

First car was this 02/03 WRX. I used a white pad and AIO on the car. I did use DACP on the CF hood and trunk. Hyperdressing 3:2 was used on the tires.

Onto the neglected S2K

Next was a neglected white S2000 that probably wasn't washed in weeks, hadn't been waxed in years.

You can see the rain streaks of dirt under the emblems:

There were orange streaks all over the car, didn't look/feel like tree sap. It all came out with the AIO.

There's a bunch of in progress pics, they didn't turn out that great so I won't post them all. Here's some final product pics:

Next was a quickie headlight restore on an 04/05 WRX that I had been playing PM tag with and he happened to be at the shop while I was there.

Next was a full polish of a black Genesis Coupe. It was recently washed, so I just did the polish and wax on it. It wasn't too swirled, but swirled enough for a black car that was going into a car show.

The during pics came up blurry, so only a few afters.

Next was a white Evo X. Same, just a 1 step AIO clean up. At this point I was so physically exhausted that I didn't take too many pics during and most of my few after pics were blurry.

2 days after all the above I did this GMC Sierra. He wanted his Aluminum toolbox polished as well. The engine bay was cleaned and dressed as well.

The truck got the full detail, wash, wax, clay, DACP, etc.

I used a white pad that was starting to fall apart so I applied Mothers Aluminum Metal Polish by hand and buffed with the PC and white pad.

Here are the pics:

Then yesterday I got to do this 700+ HP Drag Trans Am. This car was a real pain in the butt. The car sat at a chassis shop for over a year, sometimes outside. The entire pass side had spots all over it that wouldn't come out, regardless of what I tried.

I washed the entire car, clayed it and then washed it again.

I started going after the pass side with my standard, DACP and a red Meguiars cutting pad. 2-3 passes did nothing. I moved onto the Menzerna twins (IP and FPII) and those did nothing still. I called the owner out to look at the paint and he had 3M rubbing Compound, so I tried that as well but nothing. I ended up using the Menzerna twins on the entire car, as it had the best finish that I could. The car was sealed with NXT.

And the panels that I couldn't fix. They definately got better with each pass, but regardless, the panels had spots all over them. Not sure what would have gotten them out.

I really like that first WRX. Good job with the S2000, it really cleaned up well

Thanks! Yeah, that WRX was sharp. It has the tails/bumper/trunk of the 04/05 if you notice. The S2k was nasty. Even after I was done with it, I could have spent another 4-5 hours on it getting it perfect. it was NASTY!

Nice work on the cars! I really enjoyed the pics of the CF trunk and white Honda. Question for you. What is DACP?

Edit: Never mind, I used the decoder ring and found out what it was.

Thanks! I love white S2k's. :)

Sorry, Meguiar's #84 Dual Action Cleaner & Polish.

Great job on all of them. Hello Kitty, NOT A TIB. Funny stuff.

Thanks!

Yeah, I think she wanted to make sure people know that she's a girl and that it's not a Tiburon. She swapped out the plate frame while I did the Evo to a black one that said Genesis on it.
