My official letter of resignation.

The Fuzz

Hey everyone,

As some of you may know, I am stepping down as a Detail City administrator around the end of March. I have been so busy partying like a rock star that I lost track of my fundage and now the grim reality is that The Fuzz needs to go out and get a job. I also think that I have done everything that I possibly can do here at Detail City. It's been fun while it's lasted and I know that I will go down as the smoothest, most hard rockin' detailing forum moderator/admin ever.

I know by the amount of PM's, emails and reputation points that I receive on a daily basis that this announcement may be hard on some of you. It will be hard on me too. I love you guys like brothers and sisters. I've taught many of you how to be smooth and you have made me very proud.

I want to thank Dwayne for creating Detail City and for all of the admins, mods and members that make DC awesome.

To all of the spammers, shills, trolls and jerks that I banned over the past few years, I just want to take this time to offer my hand in friendship. No hard feelings dudes, it's just part of the job. When you want to hang out on someone's website, you just need to behave, follow the rules and not offend or be a jackass.

I will be giving my freshly sharpened axe to CharlesW. He is a wise man and a patient administrator. He might not be as physically intimidating as I am but he is pretty tough on the spammers, trolls and jerks.

Anyway, I will be here for the next few weeks. Please use this thread to say goodbye and feel free send many well wishes my way. I'm also curious to hear what your favorite Fuzz memories are. Maybe you guys can show some respect for the mullet one last time.

DUDE,
Dwayne said say good bye to bug and glitches, not THE FUZZ.

I am sure that you have to take care of things on the homefront, but I hope that you do not become a stranger.
I'm sure that I speak for all of us when I say that you surely be missed.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you (and Dwayne of course) for making me a Mod here at what I feel is the best detailing site on the web.

Good luck with whatever the future brings to you, and never loose your smooooothness.

While I hate to see you go, it isn't a complete surprise.

Memories of Fuzz. Oh boy, you are asking for it.
The most memorable time was when I first met you and really discovered the true you.
Your hospitality and willingness to share totally blew me away. The introductions to all your friends was an added bonus.
If it weren't for the fact that I am married to a woman I love, your ladies would certainly have been a great help to an old man's ego. :stick
:ladies
That's probably about as far as I should go in this area.
Sometimes it isn't a good thing to tell all. :D
:thanks and :goodluck:
Charles

To many memories to put on a thread but you will be missed!!

Sorry/glad to see you go.

Sorry that the mullet will only be a memory to DC now.

Glad that you are following your chosen path.

Congratulations CharlesW...i think...?

Great FUZZ one....welcome back to the reality of the working world :D

I in many ways feel totally honored to have had your mighty axe swung my way a year or two back....I'll truly miss that of you! :innocent:

This little corner of the net Detail City is a sanctuary for me, its one of the best run sites on the internet and you can really feel the family that it is. We owe this all to you, Dwayne and the many other unsung heroes that make it that.

I wish you well moving forward, keep the faith of the mullet, stay smooth and long live the mighty Camaro!!

Cheers Mate

I want to also thank Charles for his newly appointed position, of which I am more than confidante will do an outstanding job! :angel_not

I wish you nothing but the best in whatever you decide to do. If you continue to apply that same hard work attitude as you've done here, you will have a very bright future. You will be missed. Good luck FUZZ!

:bawling: NO!!!! the City just won't be the same without your smooooooooothness!! :bawling:

:thanks: for all that you have done for us to make the City such a great place to hang out
& best wishes for a great "non-retirement"!!

As for my favourite memories, I think many of those are better kept out of the public eye;), but I will always remember that wild :gathering when you & Dwayne were dressed up so fancy!! ;)

Charles, you've got some big

FWIW, This is the first time I heard anything about the axe becoming my responsibility.
Sharpening is one thing, using it properly could be a different story.:)

Charles

As much as i can appreciate you needing to move on I hate to see people who have been around a forum leave for whatever reason. I wish you luck in what you do but hopefully you will still pop your head in and say hi every so often.

Richard

Wow.... i never thought i would see you pass the axe on. :D

Well, the site won't be the same without the mullet, watching.

I wish you the best of luck.

Will the new job be in the detailing world?

Keep in mind that he isn't necessarily leaving DC. He's just not going to have the time to devote to being an administrator.
We will probably still see him around occasionally. At least I hope we will.

I guess I should have told the whole story. Sure, I may pop my head in every once in a great while but I'm at the point in my life where I think it is time to get away from my computer and that means leaving Detail City.

I have been considering opening up an ebay store and selling a few things here and there but my forum days are coming to a close.

I talked to Dwayne about this and he said he understood and supported my decision 100%. All good things have to come to an end. I'm leaving on a high note, on great terms, no bridges burned and as smooth as I have ever been.

Good luck Fuzzman. Sorry to see you go. Thanks for the laughs. This is sadder than the (mis) reported death of The Whaler! You will be miissed but not forgotten. Rick

Whats this world comming to, a city without the Fuzz. :surrender

Thank you for everything you have done for the city, all the info and the hard job of being a mod. good luck with the job hunt, maybe a detailing job is in the works?
