my nxt review

i bought nxt today and tried it. i'm a bit on a newbe, so please bear with me.

first off i found the smell unpleasent. sort of an amonia like smell, but it wasn't the worst thing i ever smelled so i went on. i dawn washed the car, (2003 mustang GT with silver metallic clearcoat finish) claybared, and rinsed. the finish was clean and without swirlmarks visibly apparent. i applied the nxt as directed, using a thin coat, and allowed for 15 minutes dry time before removing with a mft. the shine was excellent, however it didn't pop out at me as when i use zaino. the finish appeared slick, but also not as slick as zaino. removal was easy, but once again, not as easy as zaino. i think the shine was better than zaino and it seemed to darken the colour somewhat, a richer look. it definately did a better job than the other mequiars products i have used such as gold class, and their regular wax or polish.

i have always been kind of a zaino fan, and i must say, nxt hasn't changed my mind so far. i think the shine is better than zaino, but it doesn't have the "pop" that i get with zaino. also they should improve the products smell. over all, i'd give meguiars nxt a 7 on a scale of 1-10.

I dont see how anyone can miss the Key Lime smell! Guess it goes to show everyone processes smells differently. That or not every bottle of NXT smells the same.
