Hello

Well the 7th was my birthday!

I got this

P1080423.jpg

It is made mby Mr. Heater It hooks to a propane tank and is supposed to get 30 hours of heat from a 20 lb. tank when on full blast. It has up to 14,000 btu's. I have another heater, a nipco my neighbor gave me.. to keep.. it has problems running. You have to start it like 4 times then it runs fine. It has 22,000 btus and runs on Kerosene. Has anyone had good luck with the Mr. Heater. I think i will probably end up running both heaters, far away from the car of course. It gets uber cold in MN and need all the heat i can get in the 3 stall garage. It was a great gift from my parents!

I would like to thank pappy for the gas card!!

Anyone used this or a similiar product?

THANKS

Greg

:dunno Sorry, I don't know much about heaters, other than the big one in the sky :lol, but that looks like a really thoughtful gift from your parents :bigups

Just be sure to have adequate ventilation when you're running it!! :eek

Hope you had a great birthday!!

Norah

PS - Your "real" birthday wish was in the ShoutBox this a.m. ;)

Happy Birthday Greg and enjoy the heater i'm sure in MN your going to need it. :) Enjoy!

Please get yourself over to Home Depot before using the heater. the heater may work great but you may find the CO level going up in the garage. For like 30 bucks you can get a CO detector. It may just save your life.

Its hard to do a good detail when you stop breathing.

I run a 150,000 BTU Modine unit heater in my garage and can go from 10 deg to 70 deg in about a half hour. I have a CO detector installed just to be safe.

THanks for the great advice. Fortunatly as luck would have it we already have one. So i will put it in the garage to keep me and pappy safe. I always keep the back door to our garage open to keep the air flow as well.
