my MR2 at the company car show

Hi, this is my first click & brag ever.

It is a 1993 Toyota MR2 with original ss red paint.

The paint was in pretty good condition as far as oxidation is concerned. Whole detail still took me 4 weekends and about 35 hours to complete. I'm a slow detailer. :dance My process:

for oxidized and heavily swirled places:

#80 on 4" light cutting pad

#81 on 4" finishing pad

For less swirled places

#81 with polishing pad (my lazy idea to combine and polishing and glazing into one step) It worked OK, but I think #80 on polishing pad was probably called for.

LSP:

476S x2

Natty's Blue x3, last two coats "concours waxed" just before the show.

Some deep scratches and a few swirls remain but mostly swirl free, especially the hood. :) The full-sun shots I took on the way to the show, they provided a tent for the show.

I forgot to mention, frunk (front trunk), engine, tires, wheel well and trim dressed with Lexol Vinylex. Interior dressed with 303. leather conditioned with Lexol.

Thank you for the comments. I like my MR2 a lot and was very happy with the way it turned out. BTW, Natty's Blue is amazing. I think it looks best a few hours after applying.

Beautiful. I love that model MR2. Not sure if you may have removed the turbo badge... is it the turbo model? Either way, sweet ride!

Nice to see another MR2 owner who takes care of his ride.

The MR2 really never seems to age.

Check out my MR2 in my gallery.

ckretajint is right. it's non-turbo.

jfelbab, I've seen your car before. couldn't believe it was original paint first time I saw the #7 wetness. :2thumbs:
