My morning routine / How I envy those with enough garage space

I live at the end of a dead end street. The property next door to me is yet undeveloped, so lots of old, tall, useless trees overhang my driveway, including both wild cherry and holly.

Normally, whichever of my vehicles I'm driving is flanked by my wife's Cruze on one side and my daughter's Honda on the other, while my extra car occupies the one available garage spot. Now that the cherries and berries are ripe, the birds have an early breakfast, then leave their "deposits" of half-digested fruits. We've all dealt with bird crap, but the digested fruits can cause more damage to paint in a shorter time than normal bird droppings. So, every morning in mid-July through August is the same routine before leaving for work: Inspect the two cars nearest the trees, spray each spot with Ultima Waterless Wash and cover with a mf cutoff dampened with same.

[

After a suitable soak, I pinch up the residue, fog the entire affected panel with Ultima and wipe everything clean.

Fortunately, by late August everything ripens and falls to the ground and the worst period is over. But it sure is a pain in the butt until then.

That would get old after the first day.

Why not put up a carport? Cheap but effective.

Sent from my toilet using TapaTalk. You never know, do you?

You might want to consider using FK1000p as your LSP. Accumulator reports it is so good at protecting against bird bombs that sometimes he doesn't remove them for days with no ill effects to the paint. I've had 1000p on my car for a month now and while I haven't gotten to the point I'd leave a bird bomb sit on the car for days I can say I've never used an LSP that made it so easy to remove bombs even after they have dried--they just seem to slide off easily after a spray with UWW+

WOW! Awesome setting. Be thankfull (And i know you are) that you have a awesome place to detail cars! Minus the tree issue. :( Around here a driveway is a find! Currently have a perfect driveway with a small garage (just for storage) and feel blessed.

Any kind of structure just isn't practical. There's always three cars parked in the driveway that are used everyday, plus access is necessary to the garage on the left where the El Camino sleeps.

I've been trying a bunch of LSP's to see which is most resistant to the birds. The orange Honda has Opti-Coat, a clear winner. The Camino has Opti-Seal on the hood and roof and has resisted droppings well when it's outside. The red Cruze has DG 501/601, topped with DG111, which is quite respectable also. The black Buick, my DD, had BFWD topped with Souveran, which looks great but doesn't resist droppings well. I did the hood with DG 501/601/111 and the roof with FK1000, so we'll see which is better over the next week or so.
I definitely see a coating in the Cruze's near future.

Love the El Camino! On the vacant lot, landscape and maintain it to suit your needs. The owner might appreciate the offer or if he's not around, even better!

We have 3 cars 2 home 1 in storage. Storage space is right down the road and at $75.00 makes it manageable. When I want to get my toy I drive one down and switch out. It would drive me crazy with my OCD to have stuff on my cars in the morning...

If you want more trophy's you know what you need to do every morning :)
