I got a new shipment in from Dwayne at 4star( he is an awesome guy to deal with) and i took some time today to organize my detailing equiment. I am in my dorm room at WSU and i have very limited room and that means that all my details are mobile. So here is my set up. I have a 2 rubbermaid "roughneck" bins that i try to put everything into. I have made all of my essential products to fit into these bins. The pics suck cause they are taken with my web cam cause i don't have a digi cam yet but you will get the general idea.

In the blue bin i have:

Essential towels needed

Poorboys S&W

303 aerospace protectant

My tire shine mixture

Rain X

Meg's QD

Meg's leather cleaner and conditioner

Bottle with Castrol Super Clean 3:1 mixture

Klasse AIO

Klasse SG

4star wheel cleaner gel

Neverdull

P21S

Natty's paste wax

Clay

3m smr

Poorboys ssr2

Poorboys ssr1

Meg's DACP

Blue painters tape

Edge wax crevice tools

(I think thats it for that one)

The light blue bin contains:

Porter Cable 7224

Makita 9227

50 ft extension cord

4 PC pads

3 Edge rotary pads

5 hand appilcators

Other random towels i grab before i go

The yellow 5 gallon bucket contains:

2-3 washing mitts

gallon of car soap

wheel well brush

tire brush

any other stuff i forgot to pack before i go out the door.

I just posted this to give others ideas if they are looking for a way to carry and store their products and supplies.

Looks nice. It doesnt look like you have much stuff for the interior. Do you mostly only do exterior details?

How do you like the extension cord holder? I need something like that.

my shop vac is at home:( so interior details up here are kind of hard. but if i had my shop vac they would be more than doable. Some woolite mix for cleaning, some 303 for protection.. and superclean and oxi clean for stain removal. The extension cord holder is kind of a pain in the ***, but it doens't take up much room which is nice. and its better than nothin. plus it was 3 bucks at wal mart.

This may be a stupid newbie question but do you guys not keep your pads / applicators in sealed containers / bags to protect against contamination ?

I recently told my dad off for leaving his pads on the shelf in the garage …

i don't keep my pads in sealed containers... maybe i should... but before i start to buff/polish with any of them, the get a nice spray with the hose and a spin dry on the buffer, then of course a squirt or two of QD to make sure its lubricated.

I keep them in the little baggie that they came in. I don't seal them though. I leave the last inch or so of the zippy-lock open so the pad can 'breathe' should they be damp from washing still.
