My Mazda 3S After VM and #16

Had a couple of dull hours of nothing to do and thought I'd beautify my car a bit. The layer of NXT that was on it was about a month and a half old so I decided to see what VM topped off with #16 could do and was very happy with the results. It has a much deeper and much more wet look then other products that I've used thus far. Too bad the pics don't do it justice, I really need to invest in another digicam when I get more money.

Excellent shine! Very wet looking!

Those new 3s are some of the best looking small cars on the market....now if Mazda would bump the engines up to about 200 hp or so.... :D

fuggedit - I'm loving the car so far. I've had it since the end of March and so far no problems at all. Just had the 4000 mile checkup done which my salesman threw in for free :)

Scottwax - Yea, a bit more power wouldn't hurt, but for a car this size with 160 hp, it still has a bit of power. I'm coming from a 91 civic though and that thing was a dog.

Labster......could you post your pics again please? They're just coming up red x's now (man Scottwax, you've sure got some stuff up your sleeve, don't you!:)).

I've got the same car you do (including colour), I think. In Canada the top-of-the-line 3 sedan is called a GT GFX -- if that's what the 3s is, then we match.

I'm really interested to see what Titanium looks like with the VM/#16 combo. The colour and metallic flakes continue to amaze me, and it can look so different depending on the lighting and background. I'm currently running with SEPC/s100, and it looks great. I've also got Protect All on it in some spots (over the s100), and those spots have even crisper reflections than the s100 on its own. One day I'll get my act together and get some more pics (the ones in my gallery were before I detailed it). In a few weeks I'm going with VM/AIOx2/SGx?, and then I'll top with s100.

Love the car...incredibly nice to drive. I traded in the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A 205/50/17s for Khumo Ecsta ASX 225/45/17's the week I got it, and next week I'm lowering it a bit (Progress Group, 1.3" all round) and putting in a Progress Group rear anti-sway bar. It is going to be a dream to drive! :) CAI and exhaust are next, somewhere down the line when my wallet can take it.

TIA for the re-posted pics. :up

Red X's fixed. photohost.org didn't like me remotely linking pics off their server I guess.

3Wheeler - I do believe that we are in fact twins. I've had my 3 since the end of March and love it. I'm sure that you feel the same way. I plan on keeping mine pretty much stock for now. I was looking into throwing some subs in a false floor box in the trunk but don't know about that yet. I might look into adding some Mazdaspeed parts on it once the Mazdaspeed 3 comes out. Happy driving :)

Labster.....thanks for reposting your pics! Boy she looks good with that combo. Man, I feel like changing combos every 2 weeks just to see the differences! :)

We don't quite match -- mine didn't come with a rear spoiler. :( Did yours come with it, or did you put it on after? It's about $500 bucks (CDN) to get one, and I'm not sure about putting one on even once I can afford to (the car is making me broke, but I'm out of control :nixweiss). Is the spoiler functional in the car's handling? If you were me, would you get one?

I've yet to see a 3 sedan with a rear spoiler, and also yet to see a side shot profile of the car with the spoiler (it'd be great if you could find the time to post a side profile pic!).:)

I love the bloody car more everyday, it seems. It's just so fun to drive and beautiful. (Talk about preaching to the converted, huh? ;) ) Anyway, if my obsession keeps increasing, I may seek professional help, if nothing else it would hopefully head the boys in the white jackets off at the pass.

3Wheeler - I'm not really sure about the improvements in handling given by the spoiler, I just got it for the style factor. I got it put on for a good price too, $210. I'll take some profile shots tomorrow if I remember. I'm in the same boat as you, thinking about all the things I can do to the car to make it even sexier but then I'm just reminded that I have another 4 years before I actually own it and that cools my spending....

Labster....I thought it was time we took our gabfest private, so as not to bore the others with our Mz3 obsessions, so I've sent you a PM. :)

I don't know why Photohost wouldn't let you link, I have over 700 pics hoste there and I link them here and OT.com (which when I logged on at 11 Pm tonight, had over 1300 people on line at once).

The spoiler has nothing to do with handling at low speeds. Maybe if you are in the 120-150 mph range it would create downforce to help with handling. Most of these are just for looks!! The spoiler on the SRT-4 Neon was designed to work at 150.
