Dear Krysti,

I still haven't heard received a phone call or an e-mail from you or anyone else at Leatherique. The package still has not arrived, although when I placed my order on Tuesday, you answered affirmative when I asked whether I would receive my order by Friday. You told me the order was sent on Tuesday. Per our conversation on Tuesday, my order was to be delivered by USPS Priority Mail. All USPS Priority Mail includes a tracking number. Yet you have still not sent me a tracking number. Nor have I received the total purchase amount charged for my order.

What happened to your promise? Per our conversation Wednesday (after I had NOT received an e-mail or phone call with the tracking number and the total invoice amount of the purchase), you said you would look up and let me know the tracking number and the total purchase total? It's Friday night and I still have nothing.

I don't even have anything to prove that the package was sent, except your word, which you have not kept so far.

I have not even received a courtesy call or e-mail acknowledging your receipt of my e-mail or phone calls.

It is standard practice for online merchants to send customers the shipping tracking number and the total invoice amount for their order. Yet here I am 3 days later, without anyone of this information (which you promised per our phone conversation on Wednesday). I left a message today by phone, and tried to call over half a dozen times today, but no one answered my call, except your automated message that you are "on the phone with other customers".

So far, I am very disappointed with the customer service from Leatherique. I can't imagine that I will ever be able to recommend your product in the future, irregardless of how your product performs, after such a horrendous experience with your customer support.

This has been my first experience with Leatherique, and my experience has been that you took my order, took my money, and never called me back or returned my calls. You made promises over the phone that you have not kept. Overall, my experience with your company has been very disappointing.

I intend to post to Autopia, where I read about your product, to let other people know about my experience so far. No one should have to put up with this type of service, when there is so many good online vendors.

Sincerely yours,

[PadawanPrime]

Krysti,

I have not received the tracking number for the order I placed w/ you on Tuesday or the amount of the purchase, per our conversation on Wednesday. Per our conversation, you have told me the order was shipped on Tuesday. I have received NO e-mail or phone call, and today is Friday. I left a message on your answering machine (1-877-395-3366) on Thursday, and I have not received a reply. I left a message today, after attempting to call several times and receiving a recording.

Please reply with the information I have requested, by phone or e-mail ASAP.

Receiving an e-mail or notification of the purchase total and a shipping tracking number is standard for online vendors. I should not have to call back to get this information, especially since you promised me on Wednesday that you would give me the tracking number and the purchase total.

Thanks in advance.

Hi [PadawanPrime];

Shipping via the Post Office, with insurance, tracking would be about $16.50

via Priority Mail. Parcel Post would only be a few cents cheaper.

Krysti

Much like the Rafael Palmeiro steroid incident, I'm awaiting an explanation, but they haven't contacted me at all.

Here is the funny part, I read the threads that complained about the customer service at Autogeek, so based on what I read here at Autopia, I opted order directly from Leatherique. But the results so far have been disappointing.

Hopefully their product performs better than their customer support has been so far.

Again, this has been my experience, which may not match your experience. But everyone's experience is valid, and I wanted the next person reading the forums to have the benefit of my experience.

Peace.

I'm sorry to hear about your lousy experience.

I've always ordered Leatherique locally (Australia) and the service has been excellent.

BTW, even under such circumstances, welcome to Autopia. :welcome

Thanks, I appreciate the welcome. I love Autopia.

I have spent most of my time lurking, learning like the Padawan that I am. :)

Autopia has a great search engine, you can search by title only if too many threads pop up on your search. Much better search engine than Roadfly. Autopia is NOT a cult like Detail City (see my signature), so you can get honest feedback and information.

It's nice to finally interact w/ the Autopia community.

Peace.

Krysti,

First off, apology accepted for your not responding.

Second, the USPS tracking number is NOT recognized by the USPS website. Since I cut and pasted the tracking number from this e-mail, I don't know why the number you provided doesn't work.

I have never had a problem tracking Priority Mail tracking number on the USPS website before.

Third, you have the nerve to call me rude, when you take a shot at me, saying quote "I guess you don't have any so you are not capable of understanding that my children are always my first priority." First off, am I supposed to be a mind-reader? And second, I NEVER mentioned your personal life, so YOU are the one that is rude.

Fourth, whatever your "reputation" this is my first experience ordering from your company. And EVERY other company I have done business with over the internet provides the tracking number and invoice total. Big companies w/ great reputations like Walmart and Amazon.com send tracking numbers and invoice totals, despite your claims that this is bad business practice. And YES, Walmart delivers to Hawaii by USPS, AND they provide the tracking number and invoice total by E-MAIL. And NO they are reputable companies, NOT "loathsome internet businesses".

I am the one that is truly offended. Your company did NOT handle this right, and yet you attack me PERSONALLY, instead of owning up to your mistake (your one sentence apology, followed by a long tirade).

And by the way, the reason I called for the USPS quote is that there is NO WAY I would pay $39 shipping for a $55 product that weighs only 64 oz. If you quoted Fedex, I would have purchased from AutoGeek. Or I would have tried another product like Zainos.

I gave you ample time to reply, before I sent the e-mail. I tried many time to call, but only got a recording.

You can run your business how ever you want to, but I know I won't order from you ever again.

Sincerely,

[PadawanPrime]

Hi [PadawanPrime];

I apologize for not responding.

My daughter starts college Monday, and I was out of town doing the Mom

thing, making sure her car was in good repair, that she had a good supply of

groceries, etc.

A copy of your invoice has already been sent, and your Priority Mail

tracking number is XXXXXXXXXXXXX.

I am truly offended by your email. We have been in business almost 50

years, and have outstanding customer service. We NEVER email any invoices

for security purposes, as a coply of your invoice will be in your box. Any

internet thief can get alot of information from your invoice and as a

courtesy to our customers we do our best to help prevent fraud.

If it makes you happy to complain on Autopia, please feel free. We have

many great customers on Autopia, and I'll also join the chat and explain

what has occured here.

We are all human, it is back to school time for kids, I guess you don't have

any so you are not capable of understanding that my children are always my

first priority.

You are dealing with a reputable company friend. You can just relax and

know that our shipping dept is getting your product out for you.

I'm sorry I tried to go out of my way for you and save you money with Post

Office shipping, and should have insisted you pay more for Fedex, as they do

provide instant tracking numbers for their orders as that is what you're the

most interested in. Thanks for the rude awakening, next time I won't be so

thoughtful to HI customers and concerned for their budgets and just send

Fedex.

I think you are an extremely rude person, and I resent you are saying that

we are a dishonest company. We've been around waaaaay long than this stupid

internet, and our reputation goes way back. Maybe you are used to dealing

with the new crop of loathsome internet businesses out there that are only

wanting your money. We do have a solid 50 year old reputation, and will be

around for generations to come.

Aloha,

Krysti

====================

I was expecting an apology and/or an explanation, but instead I was personally attacked. Needless to say, I am done with Leatherique. After I use up whatever I ordered, I will switch to something else.

Here is the funny part, if Krysti had just apologized, explained what happened and had been sincerely sorry, I would have understood and given Leatherique another chance. However, after getting the reply I received today, there is no chance I will ever use Leatherique again.

And the best part is the tracking number in the e-mail doesn't work.

Well, I still haven't received the package, despite staying home Friday (a Holiday - Admissions Day - the day celebrating Statehood), and Saturday, just in case the USPS came to deliver the package. If I had a working tracking number, I could have gone out.

Well, this is my first bad experience with an online retailer.

Peace.

I'm sure you were anxious to get the Leatherique for this weekend but I'm going to take the side of Leatherique on this one. You were told that your order would arrive on Friday and it didn't. So instead of waiting for a response from the company you decide it would be in your best interest to post your grievence on a public forum. Attempting to smudge the reputation of a company that has been in business for over 50 years. Did you attempt to contact USPS to see if perhaps the box had been damaged and returned to Leatherique to be replaced? Did you wait for Leatherique to provide you with an explaination prior to trying to slander their good name in a public forum? No, on both accounts.

I would have waited until Monday and then contacted Leatherique. Explaining to the them the situation and attempted to work with them to provide a solution (if there was in fact a problem).

Perhaps if you would have been patient and waited for a repsonce from Krysti instead of publicly bashing the company, things may have turned out a little better for you.

Patience is a virtue.

"irregardless" is not a word. Just a heads up.

You seriously need to chill out. Are you insane or something? You sound like a grown infant; immature and rude. There are much more constructive and rational ways to go about resolving an issue.

She should have been a bit more professional in her response, but posting this here won't do much good for anyone.

My instinct tells me, you're not going to get much sympathy here.

I dare you to get USPS to check on a package WITHOUT THE TRACKING NUMBER. USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL, etc. CANNOT do anything without the tracking number. That's why it's called a tracking number.

NoDoze, please get your facts straight before posting.

Peace.
