no.

My exact steps are:

Let the engine cool

spray the engine brite all over everything, very liberal application.

brush with tire brush, making sure to get all the crevices and cracks and nooks and crannies...

rinse engine thoroughly.

wait 45 minutes (do interior)

spray tire shine all over plastic and rubber parts.

wait 15 minutes, then take pictures.

Nice work... thumbs up :)

You mean the engine hasn't been cleaned since 98?

How we envy your weather... our engine look like that in 3-5 months after any engine detail... :(

Wow....I did mine a few months ago and it's stayed pretty clean! I don't think it's ever seen dust that bad. It was dusty when I bought it, but not even that bad! (this was march of 03)

You didn't clay the car and are those baked on brake dust on the wheel cover??

No, I didn't clay the car, as I was out of clay, and this was a spur of the moment thing. She didn't even want me spending the time I did on the car, let alone the extra 45 minutes to an hour that claying would have taken....

The wheel covers are trash, and are being replaced today when we get to pep boys, so I didn't put any time into them at all.

Yes, that's what the engine bay looked like after not being cleaned since 98. Apparently the maintenence on this car is perfect, and it doesn't leak or burn any oil, so all I was dealing with was dust and dirt... It was actually pretty easy.

Yeah, so the car's not perfect. But the difference between before and after is enough to have her all happy and giddy, and so I guess i'm satisfied.... :xyxthumbs
