my high school burnt down

Just wanted to introduce myself before I start asking dumb questions ;) I have been lurking for a couple of weeks now and was relieved to find that I'm not the only one whose neighbours think that they are somewhere between obsessive compulsive and insane. I have to say that I'm extremely envious of the range of high quality products available on the US market. At the moment I'm trying to find a supplier who will ship Klasse, Pinnacle and MFTs internationally without charging $100 shipping, Until then I'm stuck with Autoglym.



I'm posting a couple of photos of my car, it's a 1998 Vauxhall Omega, some of you may recognise the model, GM sold it in the States as the Cadillac Catera.



Looking forward to being a part of the most useful forum on the internet.
 
Hi Simon welcome to the cleaning crew! Nice first pic your car agrees with what you're doing to it. Ooooh clean engine too. You're in! :D :D

So today at 10:00 clock my high school caught on fire....kitchen fire. most kids would be "yay it burnt down" but im not. theres memories in those halls, meeting new people and learning new things. its kinda sad because i have pretty much spent my whole life there. its kinda like loosing a home.

You've spent your whole life there, geez I was out of high school in 4 years. LOL i'm kidding. Well I see your side about the memories but take if from me, once you're out of there it doesn't matter if the school was burnt down or not. You will always remember the good times, thats something that has stayed with me since I graduated. I always say how much fun I had there. They say your best years are in college, well since I didn't go some of my best years were in high school, and I had some fun while I was there. Don't worry about it man, burnt down, or graduated, either way one day memories are all you will have so don't let it drag you down.

thanks everyone....as it turns out my gf (who is there) told me that it was only a boiler and kitchen fire so where out until they can fix it up

I know how you feel. I have been out of High School for almost 30 years now (oh my god, has it been that long?), and I still have such great memories, like it was yesterday. I know when you are there, you can't wait to get out. But once you are out, you miss it.
I am sorry it went up in flames, but the memories never will.
 
My junior hi school fell victim to the wrecking ball this summer. I gotta admit, it was a punch in the gut. Why would they destroy such a beautiful old building :-t

Well, turns out the place was full of asbestios X_X

Glad to here they are going to be able to save your school :partaaay2:
