2004 Porsche Cayenne S

This car was just up for a wash, but there is a little story behind it. They canceled on me 2 weekends ago because rain was supposed to move it. Well, it did rain. So, she rescheduled for this last weekend. However, when I went to the dealer on Friday to pick up my wife, the car was sitting in the service area.:nixweiss Well, I said, "I guess she will call and cancel." No sooner did I get that out of my mouth she called. So, I told her that I could possible get into the dealer on Saturday and get it washed before they worked on it on Monday. She said that would be cool. I asked the service manager if it would be cool and he said OK.

This car is somewhat swirled, but overall, it looks pretty good for a 3 year old black vehicle. The interior was perfect. I just did a quick wiped down with Meguiar's Interior QD and Stoners on the glass. Vacuumed just a little.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

These people wanted my full exterior and interior clean with a wax. No buffing. So, they got it. I originally only meant for it to take me about 5 hrs, but something had to go wrong. As I was moving the seat up to vacuum behind it, it started making a funny noise and then quite working. SO I was like :nervous: OMG, I just broke their seat. I knew I had to fix it. So, I took the seat out and 2 hrs later, I had it fixed. Come to find out, it was already broke. They forgot to tell me. At any rate, I didn’t have to pay for a seat repair and they seat is now fixed. However, I lost 2 hrs and it was getting dark. So, I decided to finish on Sunday.

Well, I wake up on Sunday and what do I find on the Jeep...? SNOW! It was supposed to be in the low 50s. So, I was praying, “Please let the snow melt and let it be a decent degree when I get back from church. Well, luckily, it melted and it was a scorching 38 degs. I preceded to resume my detail. A couple of hours later though, the shade started to hit the car as I was drying it off. I got to the hood and guess what, frozen water. Yep, a frozen sheet of ice on the hood. So, I got a warm bucket of water and defroze the hood and dried it off. I then began to clay. Well, the clay lube was freezing on me. I about gave up. But, I looked up on the main road and sun was still hitting it and I knew I had at least another hour left. I got it up in the sun and finished QD, wax and dressing. FINALLY!!!

This car was NASTY. Dog hair in the interior and muddy footprints on the seats. The door jambs alone took me a good 45 min and vacuuming the carpet was no picnic.

We are in the middle of building a house and we are living in my grandmothers house for the moment and the garage is SO full. That’s why I am working outside. The house passes final inspection today though, so we will be in by the weekend and I will have my nice new shop ready for more customers.

Enjoy.

The interior turn around on that Jeep :shocked Simply amazing. That dog hair must have been a pain to get all out. Good job:xyxthumbs

That was some nasty dog hair! At least on Grand Cherokees, the carpet is dense enough that dog hair doesn't get too deep.

Excellent turnaround, even with just waxing with NXT (I agree, underrated!) gave it a really wet shine! :)

Just FYI-if they have you polish out the Cayenne, the black ones tend to have some pretty soft paint.

Thanks. The interior took the longest. The dog hair was a PITA. I went stright to the computer and ordered the Meguiar's Extractor tool after I got done.lol

Nice recovery! Looks great and I'm sure another happy customer.

Thanks. They were extremely pleased. Actually, they were having me detail it so they could sell it. But after I fixed the seat and as clean as it came out, they said they were considering keeping it now. Now that makes you feel good.

Yeah, it wasn't to bad. I just had to spend way to long with the shop vac.

Thanks. Yeah, I was going to purchase some Meg's Synthetic Sealant, but I just keep getting such good results with NXT that I can't justify paying $40 for the sealant.

Man, thanks for the heads up. I will definitely keep that in mind. They said they were looking for a full detail at the end of March.
