My first full detail since joining autopia...56k NO way!

Well, I cracked...ordered about a billion things, and made the leap. Here is my first full detail since joining the forum and reading all the great advice. How'd I do???





Fiancee's Father's 2005 Hummer H2 SUT...



Processes:





Paint:

Wash: Megs GC

Dry: Cobra WW

Clay Bar w/ Perfect Auto Finish QD

Wash: Megs GC

Dry: Cobra WW



PBs SSR1 via PC w/LC Light Cut

4* Ultimate Paint Cleanser via PC Polishing Pad

PAF Sealant via PC w/ LC Polishing Pad

Megs GC Wax by hand (Waiting on different wax, so I used what I had)



Tires and wells:

BW w/ brush

APC on wells

PBs Natural Look Dressing



Trim:

PBs NLD



Windows:

4:1 Distilled Water/Denatured Alcohol w/ glass MF





Sorry, no inside pics...I forgot





Thanks to turbomangt for his great products and for all the great advice.





Any tips/suggestions/comments are welcomed.

Nice work Clemsonjoe. Fiancee's Dad should be very happy. Huge vehicle with lots of uneven surfaces. All the rest of your work will be easy by comparison.

Looks awesome. :bigups Is there a clear bra on the hood of that H2? Mabey its just me, but I see a line on the hood in both pics.
 
Very nice. Looking at all the different areas makes me think that detail was a PITA!

You tackled GM Black Paint and a large SUV on your first go around.



What is PAF sealant?
 
Thanks for all the compliments. It was a PITA tackling an H2 for my first detail, but I think it will give me a greater appreciation for detailing in the future. Everything else will seem so small in comparison :)

That line is just the contour (or lack there of, lol) of the hood. It angles down at that point, thus giving the appearance of a line.
