My First Detail

Hey guys. I started my first detail yesterday only to be postponed until tomorrow. I only had time to do a complete wash and clay. My car is currently under a car cover in the garage as I had to take my real estate exam this morning. Well, here are some pics. Some shots may seem like my paint looks good but do not in reality.

My plan of attack for Sunday is to polish with 4* SMR with a green Propel and follow with a blue Propel if micromarring exists. I'll then finish with 4* UPP with a blue/black Propel? Not sure about which pad to apply 4* UPP with. Any suggestions/comments are welcome to my approach. Thanks! :wavey

I doubt you will be able to get that out with a green. I would think you need a yellow pad, maybe and orange. Good luck, that will be a lot of work with the PC.

Hey guys, here's an update of what my car looks like after my first exterior detail. I used a yellow/orange Propel combo with 4* SMR. I was able to remove the majority of the swirls/scratches but I think I'll have to move up to a more abrasive SMR. I made several passes even with the orange Propel and still see some swirls/scratches. Well, here are the pictures. Enjoy!

Just a clean shot of my front end... it's not noticeable but someone just backed into me last weekend... a fender bender.

The left fender... ooohhh... the scratches... they hurt my eyes!

A fairly good looking shot of the right door.

The other right door.

A shot of the left rear quarter panel. I can still see the scratches... not to mention that dent near my antenna... stupid fallen tree branch from stormy/windy weather... :angry

A picture of the back end... hehe.

A dead on rear shot.

All comments/suggestions are welcome. It wasn't the greatest job in the world but I tried my hardest... I swear. Who does it right the first time anyway??? ;)
