My first BMW

I did an "Express Detail" on a BMW this morning. This is the first BMW I've worked on. It was just a simple wash and QD, but it took a good deal of time due to those silly BBS wheels :D

Process:

A2Z on wheels and tires

Zaino Z7 wash

Zaino Z6 QD

Zaino Z16 on tires

Invisible Glass on windows

Looks real good :xyxthumbs

Isn't it going to be pricey for you if you're using Zaino wash, QD and Z16 on client's cars??

Good luck with the business :)

It is a bit more expensive, but it's all I had on hand right now (we live in a bad area for finding quality OTC products), and those truly are my favorite products in those categories.

Thanks for the compliments.

I understand. Some cars it nice to use the "good" stuff on.

You don't live near a Pep Boys, Auto Zone, WalMart or KMart? (bummer) You can get some nice car wash soaps, tire shines and QD's there from Mother's Meguiar's, EO, etc...

I do live near most of those places, but they are VERY limited on product selection.

Megs NXT wash is my favorite OTC wash, and it has suddenly disappeared from every store. Eagle One Wet is about the best wash I can find around here...while I like it, it just doesn't leave the finish I really like. I've got some Tropi-Care dressing, Armor All, and some Megs Natural Shine, but this was my first job for this customer, so I wanted him to be completely impressed.

Next week, I'll try some different products for him.

Zane, the car looks great, and the guy probably got exactly what he wanted. I think you have hit on a good phrase "express detail". I feel that's what I do on my own car on a weekly basis. My car is as easy as it gets because no one rides in it but me, shake my feet as I get in, no pets, kids are grown, don't smoke or drink anything but water while I'm in it but the "express detail" takes me about 1.5 to 2 hours and my wheels are easy.

An "Express Detail" on my car takes around 1 hour, but I'm so used to it, I could probably do it in my sleep.

BMW wheels are a pain in the butt. The rotors and brake pads create soooo much dust that sometimes I find myself spending half of the time doing the wheels on my wifes car.

yes, those silly bbs wheels...thats nothing though,

mine are two inches bigger AND have a lip AND bolts!!!! i still love them though.
